Deputy of the Orient of Tennessee

Andrew J. Jackson

Deputy Andrew J. Jackson was raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason in Phoenix Lodge No. 6, in Chattanooga, Tennessee in 1978. He is a native city of Knoxville, Tennessee, a Past Master of C. C. Russell Lodge No. 262 and Past Worthy Patron of Wheeler Leona Chapter No. 232 O.E.S.

Deputy Jackson is active in York Rite and Scottish Rite Masonry as a member of Knox Chapter No. 20, Holy Royal Arch Masons, Robert Yancy Gary No. 11, Knights Templar, Julian Bell No. 6, Royal & Select Masters and Alcoa Consistory No. 175. He is a Past High Priest of Knox Chapter 20, Holy Royal Arch Masons and Past Commander-in-Chief of Alcoa Consistory No. 175, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, Prince Hall Affiliated. He is also an Honorary Past Grand High Priest of the Most Excellent Juiett Allison Grand Chapter Holy Royal Arch Masons of Tennessee, Prince Hall Affiliated.

Deputy Jackson is a Noble of Keblah Temple No. 78, Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles Mystic Shrine. He is a Past Illustrious Potentate and Past Imperial Ambassador-at-Large for the State of Tennessee.

In 1996, Deputy Jackson was appointed District Deputy Grand Master for District 17 by the late Grand Master William E. Blevins, Sr. He was elected Grand Senior Warden in 2003 and served under the late Grand Master Benjamin L. Hooks. In 2005, he was elevated to Grand Inspector General 33°; by the United Supreme Council, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Southern Jurisdiction, Prince Hall Affiliated becoming a member of the Ordie P. Taylor Class of 2005. In 2010, Deputy Jackson was elected Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master, Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge, P.H.A., Jurisdiction of Tennessee. In 2017, he was declared an Honorary Past Grand Master and in 2022 an Honorary Past Grand Worthy Patron of Excelsior Grand Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, Jurisdiction of Tennessee. Additionally, he is a longtime member of The Phylaxis Society (MPS).

On August 16, 2022, Grand Inspector General Andrew J. Jackson was appointed Deputy for the Orient of Tennessee by Illustrious Sovereign Grand Commander Corey D. Hawkins, Sr.

Deputy Jackson is a lifelong member of First A.M.E. Zion Church in Knoxville. He holds a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Arts Degree from Tusculum University in Organizational Management.
